As Democratic Majority Leader in the Maryland State Senate, Nancy King is spearheading Maryland’s fight against the Trump Administration. She was the lead sponsor of the Maryland Values Act which prevents school officials from working with ICE, ensuring our children will not be ripped out of their school in inhumane acts, or used as pawns like we have seen in other states.

Senator King changed the law to let Marylanders sue any Trump Administration official who denies us our rights. She banned ICE from wearing masks or building detention facilities in Maryland.

Senator King is a fierce defender of protecting a woman’s right to choose. When Trump appointed judges overturned Roe v. Wade she passed the amendment putting the right to an abortion in Maryland’s state constitution & protected Maryland from Republican states trying to enforce their abortion bans across state lines.
